Chemical Company Cheman SA has been on the market since 1987, initially as a civil company, then transformed into a joint-stock company in 1997. Since 2000, Cheman SA has been a part of the Ciech chemical group.
Economic development in the nineties inspired management of the company to take actions which led to the development of stock infrastructure – comprising many local stocks all over the country. Company’s business model changes along with the economic situation on the market, but the highest priority of the company is always to ensure the best quality of customer service.
Changes occurring at a high pace are becoming the main factor contributing to good results achieved by the company. We are responding quickly to the changes in business environment, which helps us to build better relationships with our partners.
Our current aim is to take a stable leading position among Polish distributors and one of a dominant market supplier in some areas/branches. As a result of instability in the raw materials markets, Cheman SA has adopted a new strategy in order to prepare to incoming changes. The economic slowdown will undoubtedly have influence on logistics and distribution. The Executive Board decided accordingly to reduce the number of local stocks and establish the Central Stock for the storage based on ISO and HACCP systems, and has decided to cooperate with external custom bonds (Northern and Central Poland).
We want to listen to the Client’s needs - to build market sensitivity and to be able to respond rapidly to changes in the business and economical environment.
